Ranking up and gaining qualifications

Notice: This document is about ranking up only, not about de-ranking. Thus non of the requirements stated here are necessarily needed for keeping your rank.

To rank up you have to fulfill all the qualifications required for that rank, as defined in the member qualification sheet.

There you will see the color coded rank requirements and carrier grades that lead to these requirements:

• Ensign: requires all Red and at least carrier grade D
• Lieutenant: requires all Yellow, Red, and at least carrier grade C
  
• Commander: requires all Gray, Yellow, Red, and at least carrier grade B

To get a qualification marked as "Yes", you first have to use the proficiency in a mission, training, or other private event with a commander present to confirm (or lieutenant if it is a Red qualification).

You can express the want to confirm a proficiency in the discord. A commander will then help you to get it checked off ASAP. Either by scheduling a private session, or letting you use it in an upcoming mission or training.

Without a qualification you are normally not allowed to use the proficiency in a mission.
